PowerLifter Pet Rewind Low/No Suction | Model 1792

When your BISSELL PowerLifter Pet Rewind vacuum cleaner has no or low suction, read further and get some recommendations to get that issue fixed. Before you begin fixing your PowerLifter Pet Rewind, you will need to grab a screwdriver.

Begin by examining your hose for any cracks or openings. Remove the hose by pulling one end out of the PowerLifter Pet Rewind and changing the other end counterclockwise and out. Make use of a broomstick handle pushing towards the elbow of the hose to remove any possible blockages. Make sure the hose is locked in the foot of the suction opening. Have a look if there is a clog in the vacuum cleaner itself. Take out the container and check the suction inlet for any dirt and debris. Under this, you can see the Pre-Motor Filters. Grasp the filter and lift to take it out. While holding the filter over a garbage bin, gently divide the filter layers. Then shake out the extra dirt and debris. The Pre-Motor Filters can be washed in warm water. Prior to replacing, make sure the filter is completely dry.

To access the Post Motor Filter, pull down on the latch on the front side of your PowerLifter Pet Rewind. Take the filter by grasping the handle on the front of the filter and pulling out from the BISSELL PowerLifter Pet Rewind. The pleated Post Motor filter is NOT washable. Gently tap the filter on the side of a trash bin to remove debris. Replace the Post Motor Filter in the vacuum with the handle facing you. Then replace the entry by hooking the base in first and rotate it towards the vacuum cleaner. Also, replace the tank and hose. With the vacuum cleaner unplugged, put the vacuum cleaner back to expose the brush roll. Take out the six screws from the brush cover by using your screwdriver. Then lift the cover off the PowerLifter Pet Rewind. Grab both ends of the brush and slide off the belt to take it out.

Clear any dirt and debris on the brush roll or in the brush housing area and empty into a garbage bin. To inspect the brush roll, set it on its end and spin it by flicking it once. If it doesn’t spin freely it is time to replace your brush roll. Inspect your belt, if it is broken or damaged it will need to be replaced. Place the new belt over the motor pulley and stretch the other end over the brush roll. Replace the brush roll by placing the belt side of the brush in first, then turning the other end until it slides into place. When the brush roll is in, turn it to align the belt. Replace the bottom cover by reinserting the 6 screws Making use of your screwdriver. We hope these remedies bring you suction back to your PowerLifter Pet Rewind vacuum cleaner.

I wanted to make sure I gave an honest opinion with this pet vacuum so I used it for 1 month before reviewing. In 3 words – I really like it. The 2 tops items are – the POWERFUL suction and the retractable cord. Cord is simple – that should be standard on all vacuums today. So easy with your foot pressing a level and done. Back to the suction. Excellent so powerful that I have to warn you – if you disconnect the hose and use that hose to clean up a spot. If the hose (without attachment) sucks the floor (creates vacuum adhesion) that the unit can tip over but once you know that – no problems. I have another high value vacuum made for animals at home (give you a hint – its purple). I prefer the Powerlifter with its better hair removal on carpets that the expensive ones. The first picture show what I deal with every morning and after use with the vacuum just 2 pushes over the spot with the vacuum. Also my 2 dogs to see.

I purchased this vacuum a few days ago after debating between this one and the Bissell Pet hair eraser , I think it is called, but it is $249.00 compared to $119.00. You do get what you pay for. This vacuum does a good job picking up all the hair from my German Shepherd. The canister is small and fills up quickly. I do not like the flexible crevice tool as well as the regular ones I have used in the past. There is not a spot for all of the attachments so you have to stop vacuuming and get the tools if you need them for a specific cleaning job. This vaccum would also be nicer if it had a light and also a button to push and open the canister to empty it instead of the twist cap. Like I said you get what you pay for. The nice features are the retractable cord, it is not heavy and not real loud. I will keep this vacuum but I wish I would have spent the extra money on the upgraded version.

I know how Good Bissell Shampooers are. This is the first time that I have seen Bissell Vacuum Cleaners. My 5 year old vacuum cleaner is falling apart. It was deemed to happen. Hoses splitting opened, parts breaking. I did not want to pay out a lot for a good vacuum cleaner. So I took a chance to buy the Bissell Vacuum Cleaner 1792 Model. As soon as I got home I put the vacuum together. This has the cord rewind. It’s a good thing to have. The vacuum cleaned up a lot of dirt and animal hair. I have 3 dogs, 3 cats. This cleans the embedded dog hairs from my sofa and love seat. It has great suction, has 5 levels from low to high carpeting. When I check the rating for this vacuum cleaner I was surprised to see just all 4 and 5 stars ratings. There were no 1,2,3 star ratings.

This is one awesome vacuum cleaner! I’ve used other vacuums in the past, and I don’t believe they compare to the suction power the Bissell Powerlifter Pet Rewind does. The first time I used this one I got a lot of dust/hair up out of our carpet that wasn’t visible to the naked eye! After I got through I had the canister half full of dirt and the foam filter was completely dirty! I’m telling you, this vacuum is one NOT to be missed. It’s totally worth the money to help cleanup your carpets!!
