Review Bissell PowerForce Helix Turbo Rewind Bagless Vacuum 1797

Keep your home looking its best with the Bissell PowerForce Helix Turbo Rewind Bagless Vacuum. It offers an exclusive dirt separation system that captures more fine dust to keep your filters clean longer. Cleaner air and surfaces in the home mean that allergies and allergic reactions can be reduced, helping to keep you and your family healthy. Automatic cord rewind offers fast and easy cord storage with a push of a button. The PowerForce vacuum’s design extends the suction power and cleaning performance of your appliance. Ground-in dirt on rugs and carpets is quickly and effectively lifted away to leave behind clean, tidy floors. The five height adjustments make it easy for this Bissell bagless vacuum to clean almost any floor surface. A large-capacity dirt cup allows you to get the job done with fewer stops to empty it.

Check out how to assemble your PowerForce Helix Turbo Rewind Vacuum, check out the video clip above! You will need a screwdriver to complete this task.

Place the upper handle into the human body and push down. Take away the two screws in the plastic bag, then secure them into the handle with your screwdriver. Insert the handle and turn it towards the left to lock it into place. Next, place the end of the hose to the back of the vacuum cleaner and twist straight to lock it into place. Wrap the hose through the hose clip, then link the hose wand to the foot hose located at the base of the vacuum. Conveniently store your TurboBrush on the front holder and the rest of your tools on the back of the vacuum cleaner.

Your vacuum includes a Febreze filter to provide a fresh scent when cleaning. To use the Febreze filter, remove the tank by pressing the tank release button and lifting away from the vacuum. Open the dust container lid by raising the release latch. Take away the filter in the BISSELL 1797 PowerForce Helix Turbo Rewind Upright and change it with the Febreze filter. Return the dirt container back onto the vacuum. Given that your BISSELL is assembled, you are able to start cleaning right away

This is the latest model Bissell Powerforce Helix Turbo Rewind released in 2017. This model solves the main drawback of the other Powerforce models by featuring an auto rewind cord. For this enhancement though you will pay slightly more for the vacuum compared to the non-rewind 1701 Turbo model.

As this is a newer model than the Powerforce 1700 and 1701 models there are less user reviews to assess. However we have assessed the feedback on this cleaner on the manufacturer’s website and found that 88% of respondents would recommend this vacuum to a friend. Some of the pros and cons that we’ve found with this vacuum are.

  • Easy to Empty Bagless design – no cost of replacement bags.
  • Febreeze® filter eliminates odors and freshens as you vacuum
  • Lightweight and easy maneuverability.
  • Quiet operation but powerful enough to do the job.
  • Wide Cleaning Path – Covers more floor area in less time.
  • Adjustable carpet settings. Works on both carpet and hard floors. The Bissell Powerforce Helix 1797 also has a ‘bare floor’ setting.
  • Automatic Cord Rewind – Fast and easy cord storage with the push of a button

  • Only basic level of filtration (not HEPA). Although for this price that is to be expected.
  • No brush roll shut-off function.
  • As with the basic Turbo model, the turbobrush is only air driven and not as powerful as a motorized brush.

The Verdict -the automatic rewind cord is a welcome addition to this model and one that many users will feel is worth the small extra cost. The Turbo brush that comes with this model is also a useful tool for cleaning furniture.

Customer Reviews:

My husband always does the vacuuming because its to hard on my back for me to do. This one is so light weight I figured I’d give it a try. Did not hurt my back at all. We have three cats and vacuum every other day and think we got all the hair up. My husband had just vacuumed and I went over his clean up with The Power Force and collected a whole container of hair. Went into the carpet so far that it looked like fluff in the container. It was all deep down in the carpet cat hair. The piles in the carpet came up so high it was like walking on brand new carpet. I thought my last Bissell for Pet Hair was the best, but this one by far is the best. Thank you so very much for this new product.

This just might be the perfect vacuum. It is very easy to assemble and pretty light weight. The fact that the cord winds by itself is worth the purchase (nice long cord too). Bissell does the best with the bagless feature and this one does not disappoint and even has the filter scented which makes the entire room smell nice. I vacuumed the entire house and it worked on everything, bare floors, carpeting, upholstery and everything I could reach. I have a long haired dog and not once did any of the hair get caught in the bar, same with the handheld. The vacuum, it’s hose and attachments are very sturdy and I look forward to using this for a long time.

My first impression was this was a very light weight product and easy to maneuver. It has really good suction and does a great job on pet hair in the carpet. It also works very well on hard surfaces which my other vacuum doesn’t do as well. When I first turned it on I noticed how much quieter it is than most vacuums (which is like the cherry on an ice cream sundae). It does a great cleaning, is light weight, and easy on the ears! The only thing I can say I would like to change is the cord length which is not optimal but that is normal for a rewinding cord. All in all I am impressed with this product and would definitely recommend it. Good job!

We have been using this product for several weeks now and it works better than advertised. My housekeeper says it has really good suction and is easy to maneuver. I like that is picks up right up to the baseboards, has different brush heights to accommodate different types of flooring and carries all the attachments “on board” so to speak. Even my husband thought it cleaned better than our previous product. It is great not to have to change a bag and is easy to clean the dirt chamber. I also like stepping on a button to rewind the cord. All in all, a really good product.
